Should You Get a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle?

Many people have asked me, “What’s the difference between a Labradoodle and a Goldendoodle?”

I would say it's more of a dog-by-dog basis, rather than breed specific. What I recommend is to make sure there is excellent temperament and breeding of the Labradoodle or Goldendoodle parent dogs. If so, there will not be huge differences. Either one will be a great choice for your new family pet. If you still can't decide between a Labradoodle Puppy or a Goldendoodle Puppy you might consider a North American Retriever or "Double Doodle." We had a fantastic litter of "Double Doodles" in the summer of 2009 between Lady, our F1b Goldendoodle and Legend, our Australian Multi-generation Labradoodle.
